sUpEr FuN tImEs!

We had another great chance to have a family date night! I clipped a coupon for POJO's! We all had a really fun time! We even got to try out the carousel! The girls have been talking about that for years! We just drive by and wave! I thought we should let them try it! Graden and Jason went together. I am the photographer as always! The funniest part is when I did Dance Revolution and sucked but PASSED and Jason was like "Let me try"..... It's harder than it looks! He FAILED! Lol!

My Tough Turkey and The Great Twinky Debate....

Ok, he is almost 18 months old and as of yesterday he was still using a bottle! I know, gasp, choke, scold, and try working a 40 hour week and ween your BABY off the bottle. (Haa... gottcha!) I know it was just easier for us all to give him a bottle, but I went to WalMart and stocked up on some sippy cups and TOSSED THE BOTTLES IN THE TRASH!

Graden has also realized that if he pulls a small stool up to the counter he can get way more "involved". Smart boy. :(

Here is another cute one of him at the fire station. Which I need to clarify something. Ladders are on the fire TRUCK not engine. (There you go Honey, happy now?)

This pictures kinda shows my son's bright, happy, content personality. YEAH THE FREAK RIGHT! He tipped over his truck thingy and just screamed at it. Oi Vey!

There ya go Buddy, that's what it's for!

Jason thought for sure the girls would love a good sugary creamy yellow Twinky. Well, like mother, like daughters..... NO WAY! They were not impressed! Sorry Daddy! I guess you can have the left overs..... hey wait.... that was your plan all along! :)

Dancing with the Stars and Fire Engine Field Trip!

As a family we like to watch Dancing with the Stars. The girls usually end up dancing themselves. This time when we watched it the girls actually made their own dance floor! Then they went and got their "husbands" as they called them. They danced for a while then came out with 3 stuffed animals. A monkey, care bear and Curious George. I said who are they as they propped them up on the ottoman and they replied " THE JUDGES!" I almost died! They are getting so mature and smart! And creative! You go GIRLS! 10 10 and a 10! Woo Hoo!

Jason and all 3 kids got to go on a field trip to a fire station! They learned about the difference between a fire truck and a fire engine. (Truck= no ladder, engine=ladder)
They got to see where the fire fighters sleep and eat! They even got to ride in the fire engine! Jason was up front with Graden! He said that the sirens are on the floor. The passenger uses foot petals. Cool huh! They had a great time! Thank you Miss Jennifer and Captian Rountree!

The planning of Darelyn and the ambition of a long over due girls weekend led to a SUPER FUN AND CRAZY AND WONDERFUL weekend!

Kim (D'on's daughter)
Kris (Teri's sister)
Darelyn (Teri's daughter)
Valerie (Teri's daughter)
Meghan (Teri's brother Rick's daughter)
Grandpa Nielsen (Teri's dad and our chauffer!)

Plan:
NOTHING!~ have fun, laugh, tease, shop, eat, snack, munch, giggle, relax, watch CABLE, snooz, shop again, eat again, and bask in the wonderful bonds of sisterhood!

Accomplished:
ALL OF THE ABOVE!

As you may know we literally swam across the finish line! Rain or not this was a fun weekend! Boise is beautiful in the rain, it smelled great, and it was only 3 miles! We went to the Women's show, ate at the Cheesecake Factory, stayed at a hotel, relaxed and had a great time!

Thank you to all the SUPER GREAT women that I got to get to know better! We are so lucky to have each other!

cRaZy HaIr DaY @ sChOoL!!!!!

I found my true meaning in life! Design young childrens crazy hair doo's!
;) The girls had a great day at school! They were really into me doing the wacky things to their hair! It was nice to break out of our box a little!

What in the world?

***Sometimes you just have to sit back and watch as it happens!***
The kids got out the stamps the other night just as I got home. I was sitting at the computer and Jason comes out with rubber gloves and tape and I am thinking...
"I wonder how long this is gonna last!?"
The kids thought it was super funny and Graden wanted in on the action too! I just want to let you all know.....
5 MINUTES TOPS!
I will give Jason some street cred for the idea and for the execution. I got a good laugh out of it!
Graden looks like he may be scared for life though!

HELP!

I was home today and happened to catch Oprah on the TV in my bedroom. She said that it would be a VERY hard show to watch, but to PLEASE stay tuned and watch and listen and ACT at the end of the show. Now, I have a very sensitive spirit and often times choose not to watch things when I feel like they will upset me more than help. Well, it upset me and instead of turning it off, I opted TO help. The show was about Internet Predators and how many of them there are compared to how few law enforcement there are just for that task force. I will not go into great detail about the graphic and heart wrenching things that are being done to BABIES in AMERICA. She gave a link on her website to our local legislature to write a letter to them BEGGING them to pass Bill #1738. The PROTECT our CHILDREN ACT.

Please visit www.oprah.com to get the link. Click on the Monday show and there is a senate link. From there you click on IDAHO then you can copy and paste a pre written letter on a web form to Larry Craig and Mike Crapo.

This must be done by SEPTEMBER 20, 2008.

Sorry for the rant, but PLEASE, just do it! Dem, Reb, Ind, IT DOES NOT MATTER!

Let me know if you did it. So I can add you to my list of HEROS!

AmAzInG JuMpInG CouSiNs, Centennial Football and TIME OUT !

*Busy weekend! On Wednesday I had my sisters boys so she could get her hair done! My house is so small that after we ate her yummo home made tacos we headed outside! I thought I would encourage some creativity so we started a jump a thon! The craziest, silliest, wackiest won! (ok, they all one)
*We also went to a CHS football game! FUN!
*I was lucky enough to get the day off work (thanks Pat) and was able to go to Time Out for Women and Girls! I had a great time. But I am not going to lie, it was more about girls than women. It was all great things to hear, especially because I am in Young Womens, but I would love to have heard more about marriage or motherhood, or WHATEVER! Oh well! Still a fun day without kids!
