Another Centus~

Remember last Saturday when I wrote that alien-ish story? Well this weeks prompt is good too! If you don't know what I am talking about, read my last post!

The prompt is in red:

She lifted the stack of letters from the ancient chest. These were of no matter to her. It was the chest she needed. After closer inspection she knew it was the one. The engravings were just as her odd, quirky professor had mumbled about. But what were the mumbles?? She tried to recall the lecture. Something about ever impending doom? That's what he normally babbled on about. I needed to decode these symbols. Our lives depended on it. I grabbed an old weathered page from my pocket. I had torn it out of his journal. He was dead now...

Alli that was really good. You are the first one I have read who laid the letters aside for the chest! Way to go!

P.S. Happy to hear you finished your wreath!! Yayyyyy for you :-D

Life is good isn't it!!!!

This was a really unique take on the prompt. Very clever to use the chest as the focus, instead of the letters. So, does she figure out the symbols in time? We need to know! Kat

Cleaver...the rest of us focused on the letters. I enjoyed your take on this week's prompt. ;-)

I also liked how you chose to focus on the chesst. Lots to ponder here. Did he die of natural causes . . . Great job!

Very intriguing. A mystery. Poor professor. Great take on this prompt.

I love the suspense, the palpable anxiety of this little story! But did I detect a change in person from she to I?

Your take on the prompt is original. Very cool.

Seems we've got the same brother. LOL

Finish!!! We are all sucked in now! ;)

Intriguing and you focused on the chest and the mystery and clue it contained....very good piece.

I love this.

How in the world did you twist this to make it about the trunk?

This was crazy good.

My imagination is running wild now...I am going to apply this unique view point to some other writing I'm doing.

Clever girl.

Thank you for linking.
