This is so fun! And it stretches you. I love to write. Always have. My friend Cherie posted this on her blog and I had to give it a whirl. Jenny Matlock's blog gives writers a challenge. This Saturday it was to write 100 (plus the prompt) word Sci-Fi story. It was hard but I did it! The prompt was "BEAM ME UP SCOTTY". Try it! It's good to stretch your brain! And let me know if you like it!
My wrists and ankles were blistered and bleeding, but that was the least of my concerns. I knew they would be back. Twenty minutes max is all I would have before I could smell them coming.
My mind was sharp and alert given the last 24 hours. Walking along the trail behind the barn, to seeing a light near the edge of the corn field. I should have listened to my stomach. Next thing I knew I was naked, plastered to a cold table. Like for an autopsy. But I was alive. Oh no...the smell..."Beam me up, Scotty".

I love that challenge. Most adults don't practice writing enough. I have to say I have thought to myself that you are a good writer Alli. You describe things really well and have a fun voice.

Welcome to Saturday Centus. I have to tell you, I'm not always quite this mean with the prompts, but once in awhile I have to shake things up to make sure we're all awake.
